PHOTOGRAPHY IS ONE OF THE ARTISTIC EXPRESSIONS WITH THE CAPACITY TO TESTIFY AND MOTIVATE REFLECTION IT CONTRIBUTES TO THE ENRICHMENT OF THE MIND AND THE SPIRIT AND HELPS TO AVOID THE SLEEPINESS AND THE DUMBING OF SOCIETY.
	MIGUEL DAVID PINHO Born in 1962 College São João de Deus, and College Maristas in Lisbon. Lyceum Pedro Nunes, in Lisbon. Member of the Federation Portuguesa de Badminton (Portuguese Badminton Association) Degree and Master in Architecture, in 1987 at ESBAL/FAUTL Lisbon - Portugal. Postgraduate in the “IST” – Technical Superior Institut – Lisbon in “Recuperação e Reabilitação de Estruturas e Edifícios” [Restoration and Renovation of structures and buildings], in 1988. Teamwork with several architecture offices, and partaking in national and international architecture competitions. Photography became a professional tool after 2003, as it always had been his concern and interest for a long time. Partaking in several public competitions, such as those for: “CCB” – Belém Cultural Center, Estoril Congress Center – Portugal, New Lisbon University of Veterinary Medicine/UTL, “EXPO 98” in Lisbon, New quarters for APL [Lisbon harbour’s Command office] – Lisbon, Vizzavi/Vodafone in Lisbon, among several others. At the same time, he takes part in several projects such as the project for Lisbon Central Station, for Consulgal/Transmark and CP/REFER. Miguel David Pinho, together with Architect Sofia Courteilles, is the head and Art director of the Atelier de Cima,Lda, since 2003, and of TEAM ART,Lda since 2011. In partnership and in cooperation with the Architect Sofia Courteilles, he implements the Concept of “ART IN ARCHITECTURE”.

	Since 2002, they have been performing and carrying out art work based on conceptual themes for national and international hotel groups. To include Art in the conceptual Architecture creative process and to assure the presence and integration in the Architectonic space “ Indoor “ or “ Outdoor” is the purpose of this project “ART IN ARCHITECTURE”, which aims to go further and to inspire a new approach through Artistic and Architectonic reflection and formation. He worked with several firms and architecture offices such as, ARA - Arq. Associated, Lda, Arq. João Vasconcelos Esteves, Arq. Júlio Sottomayor Neuparth, Vértice- Arq. Associated, MC- Architects – Arq. Manuel Alzina, Arq. Erich Corsépius, Arq. Alfredo Saldanha. Arq. Varandas Monteiro, Arq. Rodrigues Fernandes, Intergaup Lda, Transmark and Consulgal, Lda, among several others. Achievement in the improving, restoration and renovation projects of Lisbon buildings, linked with the program “R.E.C.R.I.A.”, for private clients, for the “Gabinete Técnico Local do Bairro Alto” [Local Technical Office for the Bairro Alto district] and for the “Gabinete Técnico Local de Alfama in Lisboa” [Local Technical Office for the Alfama district in Lisbon] – 1988/… Partaking in several public competitions, among others already mentioned , such as Competition for the Ideas for the renovation of the “Sagres” fortress, Public Competition Wine Museum – Anadia, , Public Competition for headquarters offices of Central Portuguese Bank, Central Bank head office at Square of Spain Place /Lisbon, Competition for the extension of the Law Scholl/ Lisbon University among several others. At the same time, he takes part in several projects such as the project of Restoration and Renovation of structures and buildings at the down town center of Lisbon, Porto and Braga, Renovation of Bank branch for Intergaup /BPA/MILLENNIUM-BCP, Mello Group and “CREDIT PORTUGUESE PROPERTY” Portuguese Credit , Renovation projects to the ESESVP - Nurses School, Industrial Subdivision - “Eira da Beira”- SERPA/Portugal, Congress Center/Marinóteis-Portugal, Bingo-Mundicenter -”Amoreiras” Shopping Center – TEVISIL-Apartments, GARICOOP - CARNIDE/PORTUGAL, CILAG – Offices - Quinta do Ferro/Portugal, Aparthotel - Monte Estoril/Portugal; PROET/LT, S.A - EDP Group, Assurance Company’s/Bonança and Lusitânia; APL-New Offices; EPAL -“ Mãe d´Água; MOBIL/Brisa – Service Gas stations/AE, IPPC – Headquarters; MOCAR – Car Stands, among several others. In partnership with Architect Sofia Courteilles, since 1992 they develop other projects for fashion shows for television. He participate at the Art project for children “Brincar DEVAGAR“- (Play slow) - at the book shop “LER DEVAGAR“ ( Read Slow ). Studies in “ Financiamento de Projectos culturais através de Patrocínio, Mecenato e Crowdfunding” -Acção de formação acreditada pelo Conselho Científico-Pedagógico da Formação Contínua-Rui Matoso- Cultura Viva - (Registo CCPFC/RFO-32391/12) - Fevereiro / Março 2015. Since the year 2002, in partnership and in cooperation with the Architect Sofia Courteilles, they conceive several artistics projects, in particular for hotels. Their work really started in the innovating Artistic Project in the Mercure Gaia Hotel, for the ACCOR/AMORIM Group, 2003. This project was the “touchstone “of their artistic route in Hotels, then forward. Liking with the SANA/AZINOR Group, by invitation, conceptual idea engaged in an extensive work that exploited several art forms and expressions for the EPIC SANA LUANDA Hotel, in 2011, by envisioning and achieving an art project for this group, at Luanda City, in Angola. When this task was accomplished, responding to the SANA Group´s request, and relying on the art studies and artistic inquiries they had been doing since 2006, worked through the subject matter on the art concept for the Hotel MYRIAD, at the Nations Park in Lisbon, Portugal. And so did the main work materialized; “World “at the reception, the Tile panel, “ Anyma“ and the Art intervention “Navegar é preciso…Viver“ ( It´s essential to sail… to live ), at the atrium hotel. The creative and technical quality of this last one is remarkable, because it is made of five huge pieces, hung from 70 meters high. Others Art interventions can still be found at the Hotel, such as painting in the presidential suite and the in the “Premium “suites, as well as in the rooms.
